Reflections on Today, 2024-03-30
Up naturally at around 8 and felt good. Lots of water drunk and quick orange and banana before Parkrun.
Parkrun good, getting closer to 20 minutes each week. Sunny day with not much wind or heat.
Good cooked breakfast today. Both pairs of hands to help. Nice to host someone.
Walk out in town, stopping at various places. We buy books we hope to read someday when we have the time.
Drinks at lunchtime ahead of the Forest v Palace game. Fans from neither side seem optimistic.
It’s the Brentford v United game we’re interested in. Couple of hours before 8pm, so nap for me and walk for him.
Met up with a common friend who serves pints. Quiet evening to watch, slow shift.
Agony of the first 90 minutes, no goals for an age, then one for United (undeserved). Brentford close with an equaliser.
Bit cold waiting for the tram home, we timed it wrong leaving the pub. It’s half full but quiet. We look out the window.
Plenty more for whom the night is just getting started, but we want to sleep now. Both of us write. It’s pleasant.
