Not found my life task, yet
On Saturday I went to a sewing class to learn how to use a sewing machine. We made a tote bag and some bunting after instructions on threading, stitches, and materials.
I had a great time. I am extremely conflicted as to whether I want to pursue it as a hobby long term. I think it would be nice to make costumes, but no further advances on that. I’d need an initial investment of a few hundred pounds, a working desk, fabric scissors, etc.
And all that just to maybe give it up after a week?
I’m trying to fill a void in my life. I don’t think I’ve found something that I truly want to pursue for pure fun and satisfaction. When I was going through university I had hoped a specific branch of computer science would grab me and not let go, instead I just bumbled my way through my degree and now all the learning from that time is out of my head and left to long-term decay in ringbinders on forgotten shelves.
Trying new things is fun. I should do more of that.
